Minerals have different colors and shapes.

Soil is the layer of the earth, water and air that cover the rocks, is where the roots and plants grow.
Soil have three layers: TOP, MIDDLE and BOTTOM LAYER.
The TOP LAYER has LEAF MOLD: Made up of dead animals and the remains of plants.
Soil can be fertile, poor or arid.
Erosion wears away the soil and plant life disappears.
