SCIENCE WEEKLY VOCABULARY
OXYGEN. We need oxygen to live.
TRACHEA. The trachea is a tube that takes oxygen to our lungs.
BRONCHI. The trachea is divided into two small tubes. These are called bronchi.
BRONCHIOLES. The bronchioles are inside the lungs.
BREATH IN. when we breath in, our lungs inflate and air enters.
BREATH OUT. When we breath out, our lungs deflate and air is expelled.
CIRCULATORY SYSTEM. The circulatory system moves the blood throughout our body.
BLOOD. Blood is a thick, red liquid.
HEART. The heart is an organ made of muscle. It is inside the thorax.
VEINS. Veins are the vessels that carry the blood to the heart.
ARTERIES. The arteries are the vessels that carry blood from the heart to the rest of the body.
KIDNEYS. The most important organs in the excretory system are the kidneys.
BLADDER. urines collects in the bladder.
